On the occasion of Nigeria’s 2025 Democracy Day, the Renewed Hope Advocates of Nigeria, under the leadership of renowned youth leader Comrade Prince Miaphen, held a world press conference in Abuja with the theme: “Synergy in Governance: Consolidating Democracy through Executive and Legislative Cooperation.”

Addressing the media and stakeholders from across the nation and abroad, Comrade Miaphen emphasized the urgent need for deeper collaboration between the executive and legislative arms of government in order to strengthen democratic institutions, promote inclusive governance, and restore public confidence in the Nigerian democratic project.

“Democracy thrives on dialogue, cooperation, and a shared vision for national progress,” Miaphen stated. “In the face of economic challenges, insecurity, and growing public discontent, synergy among all arms of government is not optional—it is essential.”

The youth leader, widely recognized for his advocacy on good governance and civic engagement, called on political leaders at all levels to set aside personal and party interests for the greater good of the nation. He commended the current administration’s efforts in engaging stakeholders but urged for sustained efforts in policy alignment and legislative backing for reform agendas.

The event was attended by members of civil society, international observers, youth groups, and representatives of both the National Assembly and the executive branch. It featured goodwill messages, policy recommendations, and a call to action for youths to take an active role in democratic consolidation.

The press conference marks a significant moment in this year’s Democracy Day celebrations, echoing the Renewed Hope Advocates’ commitment to nation-building through constructive engagement and institutional synergy.
